April Ross

April Ross has won more than one medal at the Olympics. She is one of only a handful of female beach volleyball athletes to have achieved this feat. She will be competing in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic medal with Alix Klineman who is a first time Olympian. Ross hopes to win something more than just her first Olympic medal. In fact, at 39, it could be her last chance accomplish this. But she's convinced that top honours are within reach. Ross through NBC Boston, said that He was certain that we can achieve a gold medal, when we play our best. That's why I'm taking the chance also. Ross is born the 22nd, 1982 located in Costa Mesa California. She was raised there by her parents. Ross competed in many activities while at Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete, she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. It was clear that she was distinguished athlete in the latter sport. When she played in her high school volleyball career According to her university information, she played as middle blocker, an outside player, and setter. In recognition of her work she was honoured as an 1999 Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. She also won her the Orange County Athlete of the Awards in 2000. Ross Klineman and Ross began their collaboration in the year 2017, however, Ross was a renowned player on the beach long before. It's true that she has played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball throughout the years. In fact, Ross has won numerous tournaments, one of which was one with an iconic volleyball star. They teamed up with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also as the Klineman's assistant and Kessy's coach. Along with Kessy Ross, she won an Olympic Title in 2009 when she competed internationally. They also won the Silver Medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor were the winners, winning over them. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. The team won bronze at the beach volleyball competition in the Rio Olympics the year 2016. Ross was part of the Trojans of USC in her the college years following her graduation from high school. In fact, her time in the Trojans' ranks was an impressive one. While a freshman in the year 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA All-American Freshman of Year accolades. She also earned an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans to reach the Final Four. In her sophomore season, she went through a heartbreaking personal loss and still was able to be named an All-American. In her last two years, she took the Trojans to the top of the mountain and took home consecutive national championships. She was a superb volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross was a international relations student at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the privilege of watching her daughter turn into an international beach volleyball star. When Ross was a sophomore studying at USC her mother died of breast cancer. However, she continues to remember her deceased parent close and dear. and Margie continues to be an motivation for her at the beach and in life.
